2. Take a Break From Soda and Fruit Juices
These are probably one of the WORSE options to drink while trying to lose weight. Drinking sugar infested drinks usually gives you the feeling of wanting more sugar which leads to increased fat storage and weight gain.

3. Breakfast is Always Important
Remember when you were young and were told, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day?” Well, that is correct!
Eating breakfast replenishes the body after a long period of overnight fasting. It will also keep your hunger down so that you snack less throughout the day.
A simple yet fulfilling breakfast idea is an egg, avocado sandwich.
4. Drink Lots of Water
We all know that water is important, but what many people find interesting is that it can promote weight loss. Research shows that drinking water helps you feel fuller which leads to reduced food intake.
There are many different studies that recommended different water amounts. The easiest one to follow is the 8×8 rule, which is to drink “eight 8-ounce glasses a day.”

Those party favorite snacks such as chips and pretzels may be tasty but they will cause you to retain more water and feel bloated.
A good alternative to try is eating carrots or cucumbers with guacamole or hummus.
6. Exercise Regularly
Lifting weights will not only help you burn calories but it will keep your metabolism running high. However, not everyone has access to a gym. So, if this is you, then do something to stay active such as running, swimming, hiking, etc.
Also, make sure to develop a schedule of at least 3 days a week of active exercise. If you only workout once a day, you will not see any benefits in the short or long-term.

Another thing we were taught as children was that going to sleep early will give us more energy the next day. This is true, but did you know that getting enough sleep can also help you lose weight? IT’S TRUE, ITS TRUE!
Sleeping at least 8 hours will keep your hormones functionally correctly such as the ones that control your appetite.
An inadequate amount of sleep leads to an uptick in the hormones that signal, “eat more” versus ones that say, “eat less,” which will cause weight gain.
We could definitely go deeper when it comes to working out or specific foods to eat or not eat (which I will go into later), but following these steps is a good starting point.
