When you are on a diet, you already know that you will have to give up a lot of things you love.
For the majority of my life, I have been pretty big. If you don’t believe me, check out my humble beginnings. You would think that I would avoid things like candy, soda, chips, and my favorite Panda Express. Well, I didn’t. Actually, let me rephrase that. I showered in those foods!
It’s hard to let go of those foods that bring us such joy. And the funny this is that this idea is back by science.
Whenever we eat sugar, our dopamine levels (reward system), jump up exponentially and begins to initiate a nasty cycle:
I don’t know about you guys, but whenever I am eating Twizzlers, I could give 2 cents about dopamine or insulin or whatever.
But it is a very interesting chart.

Now back to the topic at hand. For us to reach our goals of weight loss, we have to avoid a certain grouping of food. I found this article about the 25 worst foods right now. This article can be found here.
I was most surprised about #7. You see all these shops such as Jamba Juice, Juice It Up, The Smoothie King and many others advertise using their drinks for cleansing or for whole food nutrition. However, they fail to advertise how much sugar their items have.
It is always depressing when you find out, that one food you can’t live without is bad for you.
Now I am not telling you to give up pasta completely. But instead, switch it out for brown pasta or pick a diet friendly sauce. Over time as you get deeper in your program, you will learn what is good and bad for you.
